Dental Patient Safety in Buckhead
Added Dependability and Compassion When it Matters Most
When it comes to seeing the dentist during uncertain and often complicated times, you deserve added dependability and security. Please know that everyone in our Buckhead dental office goes above and beyond the already stringent sterilization and disinfection procedures we had in place before the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. Our goal is to continue to provide all of our patients comprehensive, responsible dental care that you can always rely on for optimal oral health.
Appointment Arrival
In order to maintain the health and safety of all our patients and staff, we continue to follow all CDC guidelines for dental offices during the time of COVID -19. You will be required to wear a mask upon entry to our office and keep it on except while in the dental chair. When you check in at the front desk, someone from our team will be taking your temperature along with asking a few simple screening questions. You will then be able to wait in our comfortable, socially distanced waiting room until it is time for your appointment.
Sterilization and Disinfection
As you probably already know, we’ve always had strict procedures in place designed to heat and sterilize instruments and to disinfect treatment rooms. With COVID-19, we’re now taking even greater precautions to ensure the air within the entire office is clean. We’ve now implemented HEPA filtration and UV air-light purification from AiroCide to our sterilization and disinfection protocols produced locally in Georgia.
All hand instruments are sterilized with heat using a medical-grade autoclave device. Treatment rooms are treated with surface disinfectants, and many surfaces are now covered with plastic barriers. We also use a water purification system in every treatment room to ensure any water irrigation being used is contaminant-free.
Personal Protective Equipment
If you’re currently a member of our dental family, then you know that the team at our dental office in Buckhead has always utilized disposable gloves, eye protection, and masks to ensure a safe, sterile environment. We’re now using disposable gowns for procedures that are likely to produce aerosols.
Appointments and Scheduling
As always, we want to make scheduling your appointment with us as stress-free as possible. We want to reassure you that despite all of these new safety measures going into effect, your appointment will not take longer than usual. However, scheduling your visit might require a bit more flexibility to enable proper social distancing.
If you have questions about anything you’ve read here, please don’t hesitate to contact our Buckhead dental office. Everything we do is for you and your smile. We want you all to stay healthy and feel safe with your family and with us. If there’s anything we can do to make coming to your appointment more comfortable, please let us know today.
